Yes, we’re still here! This has been a season of new experiences! We’ve enjoyed laughs, cries, talks and LOTS of coffee with many of you and it’s been one of the richest seasons of our lives. His story is weaving us together, and while our goal is still set to leave June 2014, we are enjoying this season of “lasts” in many things we do. The last first day of American school, the last Mothers day here, the last birthday in America, and really, it’s difficult but meaningful at the same time. Now, as we head into colder weather and the ‘last’ American holiday season it feels closer than ever that the way we know life is all about to change.
As we do our best to be connected to our future home in Costa Rica, we get to hear stories from time to time about all God’s doing there now. As we hear the heart of our new friends there, we are filled with an eagerness to join them, stepping into what we feel called to do, now more than ever.
Stories like the second mega club in Alajuela, for the West Side, and how almost 350 young people from all different barrios were mixed together and were able to share, play, and hear about Jesus, in spite of all the rain and mud! We are blessed by the emails we get from staff currently there asking us to pray for each unique kid, from different nationalities within the international schools by name. Whether they are Dutch, Irish, Korean, American, Costa Rican, or any other homeland you can imagine, they all deserve to hear about Jesus in a way they can understand.
Last month, current Young Life staff from Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Domican Republic and Mexico connected to worship, learn and prepare for the year ahead, and next year, our deepest hope is to be with them. We pray you will be part of getting us there! So the time is now. With your donations that are sent now, we will build up to our goal allowing us to leave. Once it begins to be distributed, it will be within the budget allotted for each need, such as our salary, program costs, moving costs, language school, etc.
HOW TO GIVE: You can give an annual one time gift or give monthly.
Online: visit the GIVING LINK and give to Area X8196 – Hampton Costa Rica
or Mail: Send a check payable to YOUNG LIFE – to our address and we’ll send it to processing for you: Hamptons, 4829 Amesley Cove, Austin, TX 78727
Whether you give online or via mail, you will receive the same receipts from Young Life for your tax deductible gift. Young Life is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
WHEN TO GIVE: If you feel led to give, we would ask you to consider giving now or to send us a pledge. Why? Young Life requires that we have our one time costs, three (3) months of our budget in the bank, and that our monthly goal is being reached prior to our move. So the time is now. With your donations that are sent now, we will build up to our goal allowing us to leave. Once it begins to be distributed, it will be within the budget allotted for each need, such as our salary, program costs, moving costs, language school, etc.
WHY PLEDGE? Pledging allows us to know of your intentions, and what you feel led to give, when, and how often. Some families are planning a one time year-end gift each year, and pledging is helpful to us in seeing where we really are financially as we are 4 months from end of year and approximately 10 months from our leaving goal.

We would love to grab lunch and/or coffee with you and share vision, our heart, and all we believe God wants to do in Costa Rica. If you have it on your heart to be involved, let us know! We hope to spend much of our fall connecting, and building our sending team.
As much or as little as you want to be involved, you are ALL INVITED.
